Women on the Forefront is a signature networking and empowerment brunch hosted by Bethany House of Northern Virginia, scheduled for May 22, 2025, at Westwood Country Club. 

This event is designed to gather, support, and inspire over 200 women and allies from across the region for a powerful day of connection, healing, and leadership development. 

We are excited to welcome speaker Seema Alexander, co-chair of DC Startup Week, co-founder of Virgent AI, founder of Disruptive CEO Advisory and the creator of the U.N.I.Q.U.E. Method™! 

This brunch is more than just a social gathering—it is a mission-driven platform that elevates the voices and experiences of women navigating leadership in all its forms, while also raising critical funds to support Bethany House’s survivors of domestic violence. As women continue to shoulder disproportionate burdens in their homes, workplaces, and communities, Women on the Forefront meets them at the intersection of their responsibilities, aspirations, and healing journeys. 

Why This Event Matters 

Women today are at the forefront of leading change—in their families, communities, and professional spaces—often while navigating complex challenges such as caregiving, career advancement, economic uncertainty, and personal healing. This event creates space for them to pause, reflect, and be supported in an environment intentionally designed for their growth. While mainstream leadership forums often exclude the nuanced realities women face, Women on the Forefront centers their voices and experiences. It offers attendees the opportunity to not only listen and learn, but also to network with mission-aligned individuals and organizations, discover new resources, and participate in restorative experiences that strengthen their path forward.
