Through the Bernie L. Bates Foundation, Inc., Community Recognition component, The Privilege Award, and Community Recognition Celebration seek to formally recognize members of the Fairfax County community who most closely follow the tenets and principles practiced by the late Lord Fairfax, Colonel (Retired) Marion L. "Barney" Barnwell. Such community members have consistently exhibited excellence in their commitment to shared social significance. Please feel welcome to register, attend, and enjoy a marvelous afternoon at the George Mason University Center for the Arts Concert Hall at no cost.
