Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (6:30 PM - 7:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted labor markets globally during 2020. The short-term consequences were sudden and often severe: Millions of people were furloughed or lost jobs, and others rapidly adjusted to working from home as offices closed. Many other workers were deemed essential and continued to work in hospitals and grocery stores, on garbage trucks and in warehouses. As a business owner, how are you doing? What are your next steps? How will you adapt to the new economy? Business practices are not going back to normal. This is a new day and age to empower, innovate and set a standard for changing work life balance. Let’s come together for a community conversation around life, work and the future of your industry. Join the Fairfax County Health Department and NVBCC as we discuss next steps for Black Businesses and provide a tool kit full of resources as you determine next steps to a NEW normal. Panelists Include: Advocates for Citizens Access- Maani Stewart Aglow Dental Studio- Dr. Rosemary Anahor Fairfax County Health Department- Nikkia Wilkens

If you would like to be part of our continuing advocacy work of health & wellness for business, please contact us at info@northernviriginiabcc.org. We would love to have you as a speaker.
