About
K. Mawuli Vodi CFE, PMP, CTBME, CSM, (GMU BA Economics, 2009) grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland to Ghanaian parents who were so busy providing basic needs for him and his siblings that understanding how to take risks in the stock market wasn’t a priority. The stock market was always something that seemed foreign until he became a stockbroker intern during the economic downturn of 2008. This started a career of nearly a decade where he served thousands of clients in the DC metropolitan area and became one of the youngest branch managers in the company at the age of 26. After leaving the company in 2017, he continued to teach people how to invest and manage their finances. He started Financially Present to engage, empower, and educate people to take charge of their investing and become financially savvy. This financial wellness brand emphasizes that if you are well-versed in your finances, you can be present in other areas of your life that matter most.
Financially Present focuses on financial literacy for minorities through engaging, educating and empowering families who are new to investing to make better informed financial decisions through experiences from working in the investment industry. We engage through speaking events, trainings, coaching, online courses, e-books and more. By tackling concerns about investing for retirement, transferring wealth, legacy planning, budgeting and risk management, Financially Present delivers an experience that creates a safe space for financial growth.
