Ambika Biggs, Partner at Hirschler Law, will discuss teaming up with other companies to support federal government contracts. This includes prime/subcontractor relationships, joint ventures, and the SBA’s mentor-protégé program. Learn about the benefits of teaming and potential pitfalls! 

Ambika (“Ambi”) Biggs is a partner at Hirschler who represents and counsels clients on a broad range of matters involving government contracts. She focuses her practice on representing small and mid-size companies. Ambi counsels clients regarding the U.S. Small Business Administration’s socioeconomic small business programs, such as the 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Historically Under-utilized Business Zones, and mentor-protégé programs. 

She represents clients in size and status protests concerning companies’ eligibility to participate in SBA Programs; bid protests regarding the award of government contracts; disputes between government contractors and subcontractors; and False Claims Act investigations and litigation. She also has counseled clients on suspension and debarment matters. She regularly advises clients about teaming and joint venture arrangements and counsels clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions involving government contractors. In addition, her experience includes representing clients at trials, in appellate courts, and before arbitral and administrative forums. She also represents clients on matters involving business torts and commercial contract disputes. Ambi was raised in Northern Virginia and currently lives in Arlington with her husband and young son and daughter.
